Vince Scolaro
Head of Bridge Engineering
Vince Scolaro is one of Australia’s most experienced bridge engineers, known for his ability to solve complex structural challenges and leave a lasting legacy through infrastructure that strengthens communities. With more than three decades in the discipline, he has shaped transport networks across Sydney and NSW, from early contributions in the Department of Main Roads’ bridge branch to leading major design and remediation, strengthening and integration projects across tunnels, stations, iconic bridges and high-profile corridors. His passion lies in creating infrastructure that genuinely improves how people move through cities, and in seeing the tangible, long-term benefits of work that he has designed and delivered.
Eugenio Mayol
Head of Structural Engineering
Eugenio Mayol is a senior structural engineer and team leader who thrives on tackling complex, multi-disciplinary problems with passionate, high-performing people. He’s driven by variety and challenge, particularly in constrained environments, where constructability, staging, and interfaces decide success. Eugenio pairs deep technical rigor with client-facing pragmatism, enjoys the Construction Phase Support /on-site end of delivery, and pushes for early site exposure so designs are practical from early conceptualisation stage. His work style blends quiet, independent problem-solving with collaborative whiteboard sessions; he leans on advanced digital tools (Revit, 3D coordination, modern analysis suites) for clarity in 3D space while insisting that sound engineering judgement—not software—remains the final check. He actively mentors younger engineers, lifting their practical understanding alongside their technical skills, and values a strong team culture at CSS.
Michael Moreno
Head of Digital Engineering
Michael Moreno is a digital engineering and 3D modelling specialist who “builds the job before it’s built.” An early adopter of Revit for transport and bridge structures, he couples hands-on modelling with robust engineering to create fully coordinated, constructible solutions. Michael is at his best on complex, multi-disciplinary projects - bridges, stations, culverts and major road works where his integrated models surface issues early, sharpen member sizing, and de-risk construction. His work on flagship programs such as the M12 Motorway (piloting a new digital framework) and Sydney Metro’s Waterloo Station (where his digital execution plan and processes were commended by the contractor) illustrates his blend of technical depth, clarity of process, and delivery discipline.
